Our next session will begin on
February 25, 2008
Classes run
each Monday for 6 weeks and cost $80.00
Puppy
Class: 6:00pm
(Puppies
6 months old and younger)
Puppies
need to be guided into adulthood with
training, but yet, they need to be puppies and
learn how to play. In our puppy classes,
we teach the basics and emphasize
socialization
Beginning: 7:00pm
(Dogs
age 6 months and up)
These
classes also teach the basics, but are a bit
more structured. As dogs mature, their
play styles change, so our focus is more on
training than on socialization.
Intermediate & Advanced: 8:00pm
Once your
dog has the basics down, we work on "proofing"
the behavior. We work on getting your
dog to focus on you and not be distracted by
outside influences. We'll teach a
few tricks, too.

Class
Structure:
-
This is a positive reinforcement class. We
reward what dogs do correctly and ignore the
mistakes
-
No hitting, jerking on leashes or collars, or
yelling is allowed. We encourage people
not to do this at home either.
-
Never suggest a prong collar or pinch collar.
These can be misused and cause injury.
-
Participants should arrive 5 minutes prior to
the start of class.
-
All family members are welcome! Children
under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and
stay by the adult so everyone has the best
chance of learning.
-
If your dog is not feeling well, or in heat,
please do not bring your dog to class.
Family members are welcome to attend though.
-
A "No Sniff Rule" is in effect upon arrival.
Puppies will be allowed time during class to
play.
-
Participants should only feed their dog half
its evening meal or wait until after class to
feed him/her. This will make the treats
more appealing and help prevent potty
accidents.
